BBK Mendi Film Bilbao-Bizkaia announces the programme of the 12th edition, which will be held from 6th to 15th of December.
It highlights the list of the 60 films that will be presented in the stages of the Sala BBK, Golem Alhondiga cinemas, and the Euskalduna auditorium.

The 12th edition of BBK Mendi Film Bilbao-Bizkaia begins to be presented in Bilbao, through the first photographic exhibitions in Metro Bilbao and Euskal Trenbide Sarea-ETS: Beneath the Ice by photographer Christian Pondella, and the selection of the 20 best pics of the international mountain photography contest CVCEPHOTO 2019.

The last sales phase offering ticket packs for BBK Mendi Film Bilbao-Bizkaia is open until 11th November, with discounts of up to 40% as opposed to the full-priced tickets on session days. This is a limited offer.
Tickets for the Opening Ceremony (6th Dec) are also available. The film opening the Official Selection 2019 will be OSTATNIA GÓRA (The Last Mountain), by director Dariusz Zaluski, about the Polish winter expedition to K2 in early 2018, starring Krzysztof Wielicki, Adam Bielecki and Denis Urubko.

The ticket sale of the upcoming 12th edition of the BBK Mendi Film Bilbao-Bizkaia is going great. We've sold out 10 days before closing the discount period of the 2nd round of Ticket Packs (Sept. 16 - Oct. 16). Same happened during last June's offer -only for members of the MendiZale community-, in which all discounts sold out in only 24 hours.

Alpinists Nives Meroi and Romano Benet will be honoured with the WOP award during the 12th edition of the BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia.
The couple has climbed all fourteen eight-thousanders without porters or oxygen bottles.

CVCEPHOTO celebrates the award ceremony of its 5th edition on Saturday, June 22th. There will be announced the winning photograph of the Mendi Film Festival Award, the image that will illustrate the poster of Mendi Film 2019.
The event will take place at the Teatro Principal-Antzoki Zaharra of Donostia-San Sebastián, starting at 6:00 p.m. Along with the 50 best photographs of mountain activity presented at the 5th edition of the CVCEPHOTO, the fascinating film In the Starlight by director Mathieu Le Lay will also be screened.

The picture Top of Africa from the American photographer Christian Pondella received the ‘Mendi Film Festival Poster’ award at the International Mountain Photo Context, CVCEPHOTO. It has thus become the image of the 12th edition of the Mendi Film Festival.
It is the third consecutive year that the association Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea (San Sebastian) and Mendi Film hand over the award.

Bilbao Mendi Film Festival has received the Sports Event Organization Award at the Kirol Sariak 2018 of the newspaper DEIA.
The oldest of the Biscayan press awards recognizes the work that during 11 editions -7 of them in Bilbao- the Mendi has done in the dissemination of the best mountain cinema, a fact that makes Bilbao the center of attention worldwide during the celebration of the festival in December.

The international mountain activity photography contest CVCEPHOTO promoted by the Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea of Donostia-San Sebastián, will close entries for its 5th edition on 31th March 2019.
Among the prizes offered, the Bilbao Mendi Film Festival Poster Award, worth 700 euros and the honor of being the official image of the 12th edition of the Mendi Film Festival, is announced for the third consecutive year.
