The main image of BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia 2024 burns with “Fuego”

The 17th edition of the BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia to be held from 6 to 15 December 2024 now has its official poster. It is titled Fuego, by the French photographer Jean-Baptiste Liautard, and it has been awarded the Mendi Film festal poster prize along with 700 euros in the international mountain activity photography contest CVCEPHOTO organised by the Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea, club of San Sebastian.

A History of Passion 2000-2020: the history of the International Alliance for Mountain Film

The International Alliance for Mountain Film is over twenty years old. Many years have passed since it was founded in the Hall of Emblems at the Mountain Museum in Turin, Italy. Unfortunately the pandemic canceled the Turin assembly scheduled for May 4, 2020, where we planned to celebrate our twenty years of activity, but it left us the possibility of publishing a book to go back over this first period.
The International Alliance for Mountain Film-International Alliance for Mountain Film publishes a book that reviews the history of the 20 years from its founding in the Hall of Emblems of the Museum of the Mountain in Turin, Italy, to the past year 2020. Mendi Film became part of the Alliance in 2011, and celebrates 10 years of experience with the most prestigious festivals in the world, and its Director Jabier Barayazarra is the President of the Alliance since 2018.
“Into the Light”: The image of Mendi Film 2020 shows the light

"Into the Light", by the Slovenian photographer Sandi Bertoncelj, is the official image of the BBK Mendi Film Bilbao-Bizkaia mountain film festival. He has won this award in the CVCEPHOTO Contest of the Club Vasco de Camping Elkartea, so it will be the base of all Mendi Film's illustrations.
