Rising trad climbing star Freja Shannon, half Swedish and half Irish, is pursuing her climbing goals with the routes "Sista Bossen" (E8 6c) in Bohuslan, Sweden, and "Snell's Law" (E7 6c) in Burren, Ireland. Freja is affable, and at the same time very committed once she gets into the thick of things. Her path to becoming a professional climber was unglamorous, and she had to overcome her inner doubts to make her way as an outstanding climber and traditional mountaineer.
