Jabi Baraiazarra, director of Mendi Film, will continue as president of the International Alliance for Mountain Film association, beginning his third term.

He first assumed leadership of the IAMF in 2018 and has since shared those responsibilities with Mendi Film. The International Mountain Film Alliance is the leading industry authority for the genre, with 30 members, 28 mountain film festivals, and a mountain museum and a documentation center. Twenty-two countries from Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North and South America are represented.

Along with Baraiazarra's continuation, the leadership team was announced at the IAMF meeting held on May 2nd at the Trento Mountain Film Festival in Italy. Mauro Leveghi (Trento Film Festival) will be the vice president, the board members will be Aleksandar Zarapchiev (Echo Mountain Film Festival) and Jinna Lee (Ulju Gun – Ulsan Mountain Film Festival), and the coordinator will be Marco Ribetti (Museo Nazionale della Montagna).

During this meeting, the two newest members of the association were introduced: Santiago Mountain Film Festival (Chile) and Mestia Mountain Film Festival (Georgia). BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia joined the association in 2011.
