Jordan Cannon, a young climber, is infatuated with the history of climbing. He meets Mark Hudon, a legend and a pioneer of free climbing on large walls in Yosemite. Together, they form an unusual team in search of a common goal: to complete the iconic 'Freerider' route on El Capitan. Cannon wants to free climb it in one day. Hudon hopes to free the route by spending as many days as necessary, to become the oldest person to free climb El Capitan.
