Conrad Anker is one of the greatest mountaineers of our time. At 54, nevertheless, he is winding down his career in the big mountains, especially after suffering a heart attack on a climb high in the Himalayas. His friend Alex Wildman is a novice big-wall climber who has just recovered from cancer. With a new lease of life, Alex desires to get back into the mountains. He teams up with Conrad and both support each other on a climb up Yosemite’s El Capitán.
